Seeing Red, They're Fishing so Hard

Capt. Larry's parties are seeing lots of red with limit catches of beautiful red snapper and firetruck red grouper. They have been going deep, starting out in about 120 ft and ending up in 150 ft for the best bites. To the right is 13 yr old Lucas Bush from Bradenton, holding his first red snapper. Lucas caught it on a family fishing trip, using a sardine in 130 ft waters offshore of Anna Maria Island. The party also caught a bounty of grouper and their limit of red snappers, as well as those monstrous mangrove snappers everyone is after this time of the year.

Always keep lots of rods rigged up with artificials for pure mayhem when the mahi-mahi show up. When they stop hitting one bait or lure, be sure to change to another to keep the party going. Keeping at least one in the water always keeps the school at the boat. Lately, the mahi-mahi have been loving Capt. Larry's parties so much they hang out there until everyone is tired. It's a beautiful thing to watch!

Below is Bob Wilson from Ft. Myers with a very fierce red grouper he caught using a sardine in 145 ft offshore of Anna Maria Island.
Do you want to see red too? Whether you prefer red grouper or snapper, the reds are out there waiting to be caught, be part of the action by joining Capt. Larry's next fishing charter! Can't get out fishing just yet? Join Capt. Larry on facebook & see pictures of the fishing good times ASAP!
