Make Fishing Time, Family Time

Capt. Larry's parties are getting patriotic with great catches of American red snapper and red grouper, along with mangrove and yellowtail snappers, amberjack, huge porgy's, kingfish, barracudas and large sharks. The best action is offshore of Anna Maria Island & Longboat Key, in about 140 ft. Both live and cut bait are working awesomely, as well as squid, with smaller pinfish actually bringing in the greatest results... it's like feeding candy to a baby! We have had a perfect week of weather and it looks like more fantastic fishing weather to come. It'll be a holiday weekend, which is a spectacular opportunity for a family trip.... it allows you to bond with your family, while getting some sweet fishing action in, which might even lead to some delicious treats to grill up & share! Karen Decker from Orlando took her sons out with Capt. Larry, so he could teach them how to fish! The proud Momma is pictured above with an amberjack she caught in about 115 ft offshore of Anna Maria Island, using a butterfly jig. As evidenced from 10 yr old Sean Decker to the right, Capt. Larry was a good teacher & they truly learned something! Sean is holding a nice amberjack he caught, and if his happy grin is any indicator, he had the time of his life doing it!

13 yr old Mattew Decker (below), shows us that he too was an apt pupil in Capt. Larry's school of fishing. He scored a decently sized amberjack caught also using a butterfly jig, while 115 ft offshore of Anna Maria Island.
Show Me the Fish's guests are also catching (and releasing) gag grouper and Goliath grouper. Barracudas and many school dolphin are also par for the course. On another trip, Capt. Larry's close friend & fishing buddy caught a 35 lb blackfin tuna that ended up on the grill.     Fishing is one of my most favorite hobbies. Every weekend I go deep sea for fishing. I always rent a fishing charter and go far from the beach. I catch a large number of fish on every trip. Deep sea fishing folly beach
