All Jacked Up With Amberjacks!

On Show Me The Fish Charters operating out of beautiful Bradenton, Florida's Cortez Fishing Center, Capt. Larry's parties are all jacked up with massive amounts of amberjacks! They've been catching big amberjack, but more than just that species... much mangrove snapper have been coming our way, as well as some yellowtail, lane and vemillion snappers mixed in to make a perfect potpourri of fishing action. Delicious reef fish like porgy's, sea bass and triggerfish have also found their way onto our hooks & into our coolers. Capt. Larry has been fishing areas that don't usually have as many grouper and American red snapper, but they are still quite plentiful everywhere he's been fishing. This leads to catching and releasing them very carefully; it gives us the thrill of the sport, but comfort knowing we are letting these fish go to be caught another day, to go into another frying pan! Despite the catching & releasing, Capt. Larry still takes a few quick photo's of the trophies for a lifelong memories for the catcher. One of the Captain's favorite sayings is: "If you don't have a photo of your catch, it MAY be just a fish story!"Above is Capt. Larry himself, proving his awesome amberjack abilities, with his impressive catch he garnered using a butterfly jig, which also pulled in some spectacular reef fish as well. Below is (left to right) Duane Cowgill, John Dixon, John Womack, Nate Saltonstall with a yellowtail snapper, and Doug Bassett. These happy anglers caught more amberjacks and a bounty of mangrove snappers, yellowtail snappers and porgies in about 120 ft offshore of Anna Maria Island.
The fish are definitely out there to be caught, as you can see from the proof the pictures provide; the key is to get out there & carpe diem--- SEIZE THE DAY & SEIZE THE AMBERJACKS, because if you aren't, someone else will!
